This is a brand spankin’ new tune by HankO. In my opinion, possibly his best tune. It was shot and edited at rehearsal by Pitts Photography, who we’ve just signed a deal with to consistently create and release new content. Look for it here and elsewhere. Matter of fact, they’ve shot a lot of us over the last few months, as seen on their youtube channel here and at our channel here.
It was a quiet summer from a spectator’s perspective, as we traded out playing shows for churning out babies. However, this downtime allowed us to craft a big batch of new songs which we’ve worked hard at the last few months. We’ll be recording them over the next several months with the inimitable Mike West, releasing them as singles and then as an album.
I’ve added our current fall slate of shows to your side bar; we have a few more to add after being confirmed so stay current here or on our Facebook page.
We’ve been in hibernation but fear not cowgirls, we are coming back! Thanks as always for listening and coming to our shows! We love you! Be good to others and good to yourselves!
Here’s an exclusive video of us playing our unreleased new song Toes in the Mud backstage at the Granada Theater in Lawrence. The great people at Pitts Photography stuck around and took tons of videos of us – check out our YouTube channel here for more!
This weekend we are happy to be playing in OKC tonight (1/23) at Grandad’s and tomorrow night (1/24) opening up for the inimitable Split Lip Rayfield at the Cotillion in Wichita. We’re hard at work on new material and recording tunes in the studio. Keep posted here for show announcements and other updates. 2015 is going to be great!
Happy Halloween! Our brand new single Monster Truck is now available for download here! A present to you as thanks for listening. Come on out to the Bottleneck tonight for your only chance to see us in Lawrence this fall, doors at 8 pm.
Hey all, it’s been a little bit so let’s get caught up. At the moment we are finishing up the last bits in the studio on our new single, Monster Truck. When finished, we will post it here FREE for everybody to download! A present to our fans; this one’s a doozy, our best work yet. We are excited to share it with you. In other news, we’ve got a couple sweet shows added to our calendar, including performances in the Pecan Grove, the KS Chainsaw Grassacre in Emporia, the Winfield Hangover at the Riot Room in Westport, the amazing Mercury Lounge in Tulsa, a long-awaited return trip to Warrensburg, and our big Halloween blowout at the Bottleneck here in Lawrence. Stay tuned here for all of the latest…be sure to catch one of these shows as we are focusing on recording more this fall. Lots of new tunes are on the way in the coming months. Thanks for listening!
Hello there! We’re back from another busy weekend and heading to Colorado on Friday! In fact, July 18-27 will be spent exploring our Western neighbors and bringing CGTS to the mountains! For the full list of shows, observe the “shows” tab on our site or read up on these documents! Keep updated here as always, for last minute additions and updates from the road! CGTS out.
We can’t believe it’s already July! Catch CGTS this Friday at the Replay Lounge’s Independence Day celebration before you head toward the Kaw River to watch Lawrence’s fireworks display. We are gearing up for our first Colorado tour (ending in Taos, New Mexico) at the end of the month, and sneaking into the studio to record some of this abundant 2014 music juju throughout the next several weeks. Hope ya’ll enjoy browsing the updated website, we’ve added new media and show listings. Cowgirl up!
What an honor it was to share our music with tons of great people in the mountains of Arkansas at Wakarusa! We left our hearts out on the ground of the Backwoods Stage and the Riverside Stage and partied with everybody else the rest of the weekend. It truly was a milestone to reach and yet it has lit the fire under us – we are ready to show the world what CGTS is all about. One last thanks to Pipeline, the workers and volunteers and vendors and bands that made Wakarusa happen, and most importantly the fans that sent us there and saw us perform! We won’t forget this but the past is the past, and we are in love with the future. Catch us this weekend for 2 sets at Love Fest (www.lovefestinthemidwest.com) outside of Omaha, or at one of our other shows posted on this site. So many things are in the making right now, stay tuned for more.
It’s been a while since the last update, so here goes. First on the docket: we are making a music video! It’s still in the preproduction stages, but be on the lookout this summer. Speaking of this summer, we’ve added new show dates – highlights include the MO chainsaw grassacre mini tour and a late July tour. Add this to the existing awesomeness – Wakarusa, Love Fest, Festy Fest, String Break, and others – and we have got quite the summer ahead of us! Meanwhile, all of us are hard at work writing songs. I just had mega déjà vu. Whoa. Anyway…yes, the songwriters are songwriting, and the new stuff is our best stuff yet! We’ll be recording it possibly later this year, but come to a show and hear some sneak previews….In the short term, get at us on Friday at Lucky’s (apr 11), ICT. And lovely LFK, you are up Friday April 18.
Take care of yourselves, and make positive contributions to the world. CGTS out.
We’ve finally made an official YouTube channel! Here you’ll be able to see/hear 5 FULL tracks off of our album! In the future it will be flooded with other songs, live shows, practice quips, and general baffoonery. Keep posted.
Well folks, we did it! We are proud to announce that by winning the waka winter classic at the bottleneck, we will be performing at Wakarusa Music Festival 2014! BIG thanks to everyone who came out and voted for us! More info TBA as we get it.
